From Mountains to Mugs:

At Mimea Coffee, our mission has always been to share the richness, complexity, and heritage of Ugandan coffee with the world. This month, we were honored to take part in a focused coffee cupping event hosted by the Uganda Embassy in Berlin, held in the vibrant coffee hub of Hamburg, Germany.

In partnership with fellow Ugandan producer Sera Wild Coffee, the event brought together coffee professionals, roasters, buyers, and enthusiasts who were eager to explore the depth of Uganda’s Arabica and Robusta coffees. The room buzzed with excitement as guests leaned over steaming cups, comparing aromas, flavor notes, structure, and mouthfeel – each sample telling its own story of origin, soil, and craftsmanship.

For Mimea Coffee, this was more than just a tasting. It was an opportunity to highlight the work of the farmers, communities, and innovators behind every bean we source. Germany remains one of Europe’s most influential specialty coffee markets, making Hamburg the perfect stage to introduce our latest microlots and share why Uganda is becoming an increasingly respected origin among global coffee professionals.

Throughout the session, guests were particularly drawn to the balance, sweetness, and clarity found in our washed Arabicas, as well as the bold, complex character of our carefully processed Robustas varieties that are gaining new appreciation among specialty buyers.

Events like this reaffirm our belief in the future of Ugandan coffee: sustainable, traceable, and celebrated on the global stage. We are proud to stand alongside other Ugandan producers and continue building meaningful connections between our farms and the international coffee community.

At Mimea Coffee, we remain committed to elevating the voices behind our beans and delivering exceptional quality from crop to cup.

Thank you to the Uganda Embassy in Berlin for championing Ugandan coffee and to everyone who joined us in Hamburg for this unforgettable experience.
